About Us

About the Mersey Band

The Mersey Band has been a part of the musical scene in Liverpool since 1948!

Although we have a wide range of ages and skill levels in the band, we have the

common goal of making great music together and having fun!

The Band meets every Tuesday night from 7:00- 9:00 p.m. at the Milton

Community Hall in Milton. We perform at parades, concerts, services and

functions along the South shore.

Each summer we hold a week- long student and adult band camp. The Band also

runs a year -long training program for anyone interested in joining the band-

regardless of age or musical background.

We welcome anyone who would like to join! We play a variety of musical styles

and provide an opportunity for musicians to enjoy making music in a friendly,

supportive environment.

We are a volunteer organization with no membership fees. The Mersey Band

raises money through fundraising activities, sponsorship from local service

groups and a grant from the Region of Queens. The Band supplies members with

instruments, music and uniforms. Members are required to attend rehearsals

and performances, learn music and have fun!
